The guards are my own design, as I found very little available for the older Monsters.
They are Stainless steel throughout and consist of a 4mm wire frame with 5 mesh screen (5 wires per inch).
Stainless brackets are laser cut, CNC bent and TIG welded in place.
2 stainless low head Allen screws are also supplied with each guard as the original screws are barely long enough.
The guards fit under the screw cups that hold the oil cooler on, with the new screws.
Primarily designed for the early square ended oil coolers from '93 to 2000/2001, they also fit the later round ended oil coolers, but sit a little further out from the cooler.
They will not fit the curved coolers fitted to the water cooled models.
Coolers are handed and the guards only fit coolers fitted in the high position on the inlet valve cover, not the lower position on the exhaust valve cover.
They do fit SS models on the inlet cover and also any other models that have this style cooler on the inlet cover.
I have many satisfied customers for these and they work well to protect aging cooler matrices from road detritus damage as well as covering historic battering with some shiny bling.
I also found to my delight that I could stencil designs onto the mesh for an added personal touch, but I don't think that caught on?
