New forum is up

Thanks for the good idea David.
I'm probably too new to know the club's history accurately, but I am trying to compose an email/message to welcome new members, explaining generally what the club is all about, what discounts are available and where to buy club merchandise.
Time was when we got involved in plenty of club ride outs and events too.. Must try harder at this people!! 🐝

Thanks for sorting that out Rob. It looks great and and some nice snapshots of club history there too.

The pictures on the Home Page will rotate if you click to any other page then back to home, there's about 26 pics up there all together.

All the pictures where sent by members for publication in the 2014 UKMOC calendar with appropriate permissions for that.
If you see a picture of yours's that you don't want to appear, then please let us know and we'll take it down.
Sadly there are pictures from at least 4 members who have since passed away! Ride in Peace my friends.

If you click on the "Home" page now you will see the actual artwork that appeared on the 2014 UKMOC calendar, so 12 compositions in all.
These have been very kindly edited and supplied by Shuffy, who did the artwork in the first place and produced the superb calendar with Albie.

They appear on here with a faint watermark, but I am wondering if there would be any demand for posters?
Let me know if you would like one or more of the pictures in high res poster form and I will look into getting some printed if it's viable.
All profits to UKMOC of course.

that was capo's bike.

Super special, aluminium frame and carbon/magnesium/titanium everything. close to 150kg with a JHP tuned motor

Yes, his daughter inherited it and she was sounding like she would keep it long term.
She was looking at possibly loaning it out for display somewhere but I don't know if anything ever came of that.
I can confirm that it was super-light. We hung it on digital scales from the roof of my garage and if I remember correctly it nudged 153kg.
It's lightness certainly was taken to the limit. Even the steel plate of the seat lock was changed for titanium. He even got me to make him a titanium rivet to fix it back together !!!
There was also a custom titanium copy of the exhaust made but he never got that to fit properly.
Capo was a large motivator for my own 750 getting down to 165kg (measured by the same method on the same day).
I still miss his inspiration.

Haven't been on here for a long while - loving the new look forum - great work all involved in sorting it out

Curious... where are the the photos stored? It's so easy to upload them that it seems that they are stored on the club server - for free. Since nothing is free, I ask, does the club pay for storage? Little? Much?

I find this new platform , hard to navigate and glitchy its not very intuitive like the old Forum ,,,

jerry hates everything... normal service has been resumed

if you think you've found a bug or glitch, please report it.
if you mean you were very familiar with the old forum, please bear in mind it was at least a decade out of support and becoming an increasing security risk. try to remember that the only constant you can rely on in life is change.
