So I've just watched the Ducati team presentation very slick and very red, definitely not the prettiest bike on the grid, Pecco & Jack did OK last year be interesting to see if that translates into the full factory don't expect to see much from Jerez test 02 March but Qatar a week later should give us a better look.

Not sure I fully enjoyed last season yes it was close with a lot more close racing but it just seemed very odd dominant on paper meant absolutely nothing on track, Dovi's best every chance and just didn't perform

The big Question will MM be back and will he be the same Marc Marquez no sign of him even training yet !!!

Looking forward to some racing .... Hope this covid bull$h1t does not get in the way:pd:

I thought last year was great. MMs absence allowed the chpshp a bit of variety.
They said last year MM was likely to miss the start of 2021, there are even rumours that he may never come back.
Dovi was rubbish but then I've never rated him. Ducati seem to have lost MGP ambition. Just a few years ago they were spending $ on the bike and the riders, now its more a case of who is available and wants a go!

I would love it if Dovi ended up as a replacement for MM at the start of the season.

So the first time on track this season and day one ends like this, no reflection at all on who will challenge for the title everybody was testing new kit, however Espargaro is only 1s off the last losail pole time that's pretty impressive for day 1 of the season

1 - 41 A Espargaro 1.54:687
2 - 6 S Bradl
3 - 36 j. Mir
4 - 43 j. Miller
5 - 88 M Oliveira
6 - 5 J Zarco
7 - 21 F Morbidelli
8 - 42 A Rins
9 - 12 M Viñales
10 - 73 A Marquez

No spoilers when the first race rolls round please Rob!

Any idea what the TV coverage will be like this year for those of us without a sports package?

I emailed Quest yesterday, Nasher, and asked if they would be showing the highlights again this year. This is their reply:

"Hi Vince,
Thank you for that.
I think we probably will but I am not 100% sure.
I will ask the relevant team and get back to you when i hear anything.
Kind regards,
Aatish"

I'll let you know when I hear something definite.

Interesting - Stefan looking to fill Marcs shoes for the time being, Zarco is top Ducati not Jack, Valentino, Pecco, Pol and Brad not troubling the scorers yet

Celebrate away. When you haven't watched something live it's best practice to avoid all SM until you've caught up anyway.

That would be one of Ducati's strong tracks for comparative top speeds - a long straight preceded by a slowish corner so all down to outright grunt, nevertheless just over 5 mph over the Hondas does look promising.
I can still remember Stoner passing everybody on the straights that year when he won the championship for Ducati
