MOT tester's manual online

Interesting about the registration plates. They don't have to be at the rear of the vehicle as I had thought. As long as they're visible from 15 metres to the rear of the vehicle, then they're legal. Woohoo. That means I can now mount mine against the exhaust pipes just in front of the rear wheel. Wicked. :D

How would that work? Surely, you'll have a great air catcher sticking out to one side? Am I missing something here?

I see. Thanks for explaining that. Although, I can't see any of those getting past a UK MOT. To my eyes, most custom bikes don't look like they are meant to be ridden so an MOT is probably not important. I'm looking forward to seeing a monster with a side mounted plate and an MOT pass. Will someone bring one to the weekender?

The MOT may not say about the number plate location but the construction and use laws do.

As near to the rear as possible is the basics of it.

That link is out of date, the fees are wrong and the latest update note is over a year old.
