According to the Falloon bible frame numbers for the 900 began at ZDM 900 M 000001.

Davy, as far as I can make out from the two Falloon books the M900 went on until 1999 in carb form and until 2002 in injection form. All M900s worldwide numbered over 36,000...
I'd have thought the M750's as they share the same bore, stroke and capacity as the old F1 Rutter bikes. :mand:
m750's are the best!! :running:
What he said, and we don't need to go around willy waving (and whatever girls do) about having the biggest bike in the playground, mine's bigger than yours etc etc

I only posted this for a bit of craic. But now we're on the subject i always liked the Ducati style and then when the "Original" Monster came out, That was it for me i had to get one. but since then i think Ducati have lost it a wee bit...... i'm saying no more!!!
Unfortunately they stuck a 916 engine in one and IMO from then on missed the point.

you should try one, you might like it
i always thought i'd never have one with a radiator, but one came up at the right time and price, and i love it!
Not to be too controversial but here here...IMHO i wouldn't buy a modern Monster as they have become far too stylistic for my taste
When they first came out with the original 900 and the subsequent 750 and 600 that followed I thought it was the perfect example (or quintessential for you clever types) of a street bike. Macho and mean looking in black (ok ok despite being in red and yellow!) and one that stood head and shoulders above anything else on the market.
Unfortunately they stuck a 916 engine in one and IMO from then on missed the point. The styling then became too radical for my liking and I'm afraid to say that when I shop for a new bike soon, it wont be a monster...sorry:shocked:
keep up the interesting posts.
