• PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WHEN ATTENDING A MONSTER MEET/RIDEOUT

    1. All riders ride at their OWN risk.
    2. The UKMOC will not be held liable for any accidents to riders/passengers/motorcycles whatsoever.
    3. You are deemed to be in control of your own motor cycle at all times
    4. Please let the ride leader know, if you are intending to 'peel off' en-route.

    ADVICE FOR THOSE LEADING RIDEOUTS

    1. Make yourself known to all persons who intend to rideout with you.
    2. We recommend the 'Drop-Off' system for group rides.
    3. Find out if everyone has ridden in a group before - if not explain any relevant info.
    4. Ensure all have enough fuel - and locate nearest garages to the meet point.
    5. Ask everybody to ride slightly 'off-set' - eg - do not directly follow the bike in front WHERE POSSIBLE. (this leaves extra braking room).
    6. HAVE FUN!

First Norfolk meet of the year and it will be in Suffolk!
Noted for their reliable and affordable cuisine we're back at Hillside Nurseries Café at Stanton.
So, 10am, Jan 14th, at Hillside Nurseries Café Stanton IP31 2DU.

It does look like being at least dry between now and then, but the temps will be challenging and no doubt a bit of salt scattered around. I'll do my best to attend on two wheels, but it's not obligatory.. Be nice to see you whatever you roll up on/in. :mand:

Well there's another one chalked up.
As always nice to see the Dave's' again. These meets are open to all y'know, the comment "I wonder if we'll see anyone else" was heard I believe!

Fortunately between the three of us we have enough Monster projects to fill a morning with relevant conversation.

I'm glad I made the decision to take the bike. The heated gear coped well, although I did switch the heated grips up to 2nd gear for the first time to get rid of a little white finger in one index. Otherwise I was quite comfy in plus 4 degrees creeping to +5 briefly once or twice.
The ungritted roads were dry, but of course the salt draws the moisture to it, so the treated roads were all damp, although for the return ride they had gone from a satin damp to a matt damp, which was just a little more confidence inspiring and I was able to give it some beans a few times just to remind myself.. Nice. :)

A very pleasant 86 miles in all, not at all bad for mid January. :D
