Does anyone have anything other than a bridgestone on the rear?
I am doing a long way round Britain trip in July with a friend and would like to know if my Bridgestone with 3000 miles on the clock will cope with another 2000, or should i stick a new one on before i go. mmm tuff one

I took off the OE Bridgestones with only two hundred miles on them , and put on a pair of Pirelli Diablo Rossos , These are really grippy , great feel and warm up quickly . However , i have only once tried them in the wet , and dont think I will get 3000 miles out of the rear

Put a set, front / rear of Dunlop Roadsmarts on, job sorted

I have the Diablos too - the ones down from the corse - replacements going just fine in terms of hefty daily commute in all weathers....

Actually on my Buell I have Avons which have done an amazing 6k of mainly motor-way (commuting) and are only just beginning to go square! Good in all weathers too...

Yep, i will put a new set on, probably the new Bridgestone dual compound tyre.
Better the devil you know! Than the devil you dont:dizzy:

For very long distance stuff, I'd suggest Dunlops :)

I'm doing some F1 and Moto GP dates this year in Europe, Belgium, San Morino and Monza.
Did have a chat with Alan at the weekender about replacing my Bridgestone BA's.
Everyone seems to have their favourites, so i'm somewhat confused by it all.
Same suggestion for mine guys?

G : )

George - you could try the dual compound Battleaxe as they last well :)

ps: lost the stickers, will search this weekend & send on to you mate
xx

I've just replaced all four bridgestones on my Peugeot after covering 30,000 miles with 2mm left on. Not the same I know, but I'm impressed anyway.
