This could be a long thread ,, Curing persistant idle hunting on vertical cylinder

Another vote for Ignitech here - mine was made to fit the carby loom and ie motor from new. Not in use yet but its a very compact unit and fits neatly down the left hand side of my carbs on a neat little bracket from RG500 Performance and two P-clips onto the frame rails

These new 'Kokusan' boxes seem reasonable price IDK?

They may be rebadged Chinese ones from Ebay ,, could be good ????
but might be like cheap MOSFET Chinese Reg/Rec that is a shunt fake and not real MOSFETS and dies in days ????/

Due to the builder , this investigation has stalled as i cant get access ,,, also busy selling the Ninja 650 and getting the new mystery bike ?? also got the ECU back from repair 3rd time for Julians 950bolt and i need to get that sorted .... befor i go thailand next week for a month ...

Duc or die is a Stein Dinse brand made in Germany so if they are genuine then sb good.

im back from thailand ,, not happy had to come for legal bs and NHS bs ... miserable UK weather , and cold ...

so back in garage when i can handle frozen hands ,, my new expensive insulated garage is cold and gets damp ....

OK well its not an electronic issue , not pickups, not Ignighters , not coils or HT leads , sparkplugs etc all parts work fine in the monster 750 .
i have had the head off yesterday and the valves and guides are all good and compression is good .so not that

So has to be left hand carb or an air leak ,,, but the manifold all seem good , the gaskets are all good and the carb has been serviced 4 times in last year alone and Ultasonic cleaned and deep cleaned 3 times ????.....

and yes when i put the carbs from the Monster 750 on the 750ss it ticksover smoothly ...

but when i put the 750ss carbs on the Monster the problem is back in the left hand carburettor ???? must be a issue in the pilot circuit but im at a loss of what to do now ,,, I have tried everything ....

and once warmed up the bike is fantastic apart from the odd unbalanced lumpy idle

So frustrating ....

Have you tried spraying cold start around the mounting point…could be a hairline crack which “heals” when it has warmed up….?
