I’ve searched everywhere and can’t seem to find one!? I don’t want to do a tail-chop but just remove the “mudguard” and fit a small discreet bracket to hold the number plate.

Are there any options about please?

(I’ve possibly found one in the US but which duty and postage it doesn’t make sense)

Any help?

you might need to 'remove margins' in your print setup to stop the edges getting cropped

print 'actual size'/100% scale and check 90mm/70mm lines with a ruler to ensure the printed dimensions are correct before cutting metal

sorry just re-read your OP, this ain't gonna help. Seen a CF short tail on eBay (maybe Darren?), but I'd want a pair of wheels with it to justify what they fetch now.
The only other one I found easily was still over £100, and the seller was in Italy with poor feedback score

Thanks, am not too bothered about the cost, more about finding the best part. Does the CF short tail do without the “mudguard” then…?

it comes just past the end of the frame rails.
usually refered to as short tea-tray (beer tray in US)
i have one on my 1000, see if i can find a photo, or i’ll snap another

dunno quite why italian link shows as ‘pardon interuption)

yup, repaired mine with fibreglass on the underside when i saw the price of a replacement 8 yrs ago

teatray1.webpteatray2.webp

... and you'd need to to check if the aluminium bracketry was included or fabricate it

Thank you, I appreciate the photos. TBH I think I may prefer the standard tail, will therefore continue my search for a new number plate bracket…..

i’m sure someone here (pos. utopia?) moulded their own short tail based on the stock teatray, pretty sure capo’s had something similar but that would have been new carbon back when the aftermarket manufacturers where still churning stuff out

Nope, wasn't me who moulded my own tail but I was looking into the possibility at one time.
My aim was a curvy type teatray but without the indicator mounts.
Someone did post up some helpful details of their own work to the same end.
I've lost the info now though and can't remember who it was.
Perhaps Lars/Stopintime.

I've got an aluminium one in my garage that's new and never been fitted but its for the early monster with the squarer shape beer tray - I'm running a RoadRacing one instead
