• PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WHEN ATTENDING A MONSTER MEET/RIDEOUT

    1. All riders ride at their OWN risk.
    2. The UKMOC will not be held liable for any accidents to riders/passengers/motorcycles whatsoever.
    3. You are deemed to be in control of your own motor cycle at all times
    4. Please let the ride leader know, if you are intending to 'peel off' en-route.

    ADVICE FOR THOSE LEADING RIDEOUTS

    1. Make yourself known to all persons who intend to rideout with you.
    2. We recommend the 'Drop-Off' system for group rides.
    3. Find out if everyone has ridden in a group before - if not explain any relevant info.
    4. Ensure all have enough fuel - and locate nearest garages to the meet point.
    5. Ask everybody to ride slightly 'off-set' - eg - do not directly follow the bike in front WHERE POSSIBLE. (this leaves extra braking room).
    6. HAVE FUN!

Hi

Yes I know it's a bit late, but looks like weather will be ok and that I will be around.

So just wondered if anyone fancied a brew?

As I'm sick of riding the road to The Haven, was going to suggest Choppers Cafe at Burbage?

Let me know if interested.

I might be about. Where’s the cafe, got a post code?

Hi Pedro

Postcode is SN8 3RT.

Never been before, but just fancied a change of destination.

Cheers
Stuart

How does getting there for about 10 sound?

Was thinking of leaving at 10 - it’s a bit brr first thing for us old uns

Meet at 10.30?

Cafe closed we’re going to Marlborough high street

Good to see you all this morning.
I had a very pleasant ride back from Marlborough through Pewsey, Everleigh, Ludgershall and Wey Hill.
The patchy fog cleared as I climbed up past the white horse so I had unsalted dry roads.

That's brought it back.
I remember the Marlborough-Ludgershall road from nearly 40 years ago.
There used to be an old boy who wheeled his lovely old Indian Scout to the end of his garden so you could see it from the road. We stopped and photographed it one day and he came out and had a chat... I think the village was Colinbourne Ducis… Probably spelled that wrong?

Not sure why the photo doesn't appear??

Collingbourne Ducis: That’s the road I went up to get to Burbage for the meet.
Pewsey is a nice little Wiltshire village about five miles west of Burbage and that road is a lot quieter, over the North Wessex Downs down to the edge of Salisbury Plain.
