• PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WHEN ATTENDING A MONSTER MEET/RIDEOUT

    1. All riders ride at their OWN risk.
    2. The UKMOC will not be held liable for any accidents to riders/passengers/motorcycles whatsoever.
    3. You are deemed to be in control of your own motor cycle at all times
    4. Please let the ride leader know, if you are intending to 'peel off' en-route.

    ADVICE FOR THOSE LEADING RIDEOUTS

    1. Make yourself known to all persons who intend to rideout with you.
    2. We recommend the 'Drop-Off' system for group rides.
    3. Find out if everyone has ridden in a group before - if not explain any relevant info.
    4. Ensure all have enough fuel - and locate nearest garages to the meet point.
    5. Ask everybody to ride slightly 'off-set' - eg - do not directly follow the bike in front WHERE POSSIBLE. (this leaves extra braking room).
    6. HAVE FUN!

September 13th meet

Hi Dave . I'm away from the 13th for a week in gods own county or i would have been up for this , frankly its getting to the point
if it hasn't already where i'm not going to post events on here because it's just a zombie keyboard club , the monty python dead parrot
sketch springs to mind.

Dave, thanks for posting this up, but I'm afraid I'm going to pass on this one as it's just too much. Fifty quid for two taxi runs isn't great value for me.
I keep meaning to make a note of the Bruntingthorpe Days Of Rolling Thunder, where you see and hear plenty of fast full power runs by many iconic aircraft. (The Victor famously got airborne one year!) Pretty sure they have a Vulcan too?

Please don't give up on posting up events guys, you're not going to get the keyboard warriors out what ever happens, but there are those that will come out to play.

Fair play Gary, not to worry.
Looks like it will be you, me and Dacs for our next meet, where do you think?

Thanks for your understanding Dave.
I was thinking The Dove or Good bad and Hungry for September, but I'm happy to move the date for this one as a couple of our regulars are indisposed for the 14th.

I did some research on Bruntingthorpe and have discovered that it has been closed, moved and possibly briefly re-opened.
Looks like some of the collection has been dispersed, so I'm not sure exactly what's going on.
If you look on Google Earth you'll see that the runway is chock full of cars!!! I hate cars!
I'll try and keep and eye out, as it looks like they do intend to re-open with the fast taxi runs??
