Hi all,

I'm just about to inherit a 2004 Ducati Monster i.e... Whilst it runs fine it needs a bit of love in terms of the bodywork etc and I'd like to get a tail tidy kit, does anyone know of anywhere online that still stocks bits for this particularly model?

Ring Moto Rapido for new genuine Ducati parts, you could also ask them about tail tidies but I don't know whether they stock after market stuff. The website for Stein Dinse could be a good starting point for something like that. Good luck.

Its probably worth mentioning, in case you're not already aware, that the cambelts on all models have a pretty short service life of only two or three years. They are also reputed to dislike being in an unused engine for very long.
If they break, the results can be catastrophic so you will possibly be well advised to fit new ones.
Moto Rapido should be able to supply new belts or alternatively check out Exact Fit UK who can supply belts which they claim to be better quality and have a slightly longer service life.
Its a moderately simple DIY job to change them but it seems a little scary the first time. Check out the youtube videos on the subject which were produced by Chris Kelly at California Cycleworks. He is the person responsible for originally sourcing and marketing the Exact Fit belts in the USA and his videos are excellent.
