There will be many posts on this bike, I’ve owned it since 23rd December 2006. Many hours, days and years of swearing, locking it away and then a major recommissioning job to get her back on the road.
As I’m sorting out receipts and paperwork for the old bike, I was about to file the most important piece of paperwork (within the last five months anyway), the declaration from Ducati Homologation Department to get the old bike ULEZ registered. The one thing that sticks out on the report, apart from the box level is the date of certificate. Now, I have the original sale bill, service book and details of the bike being shipped to Hong Kong after leaving the Borgo Panigale in August 1993, but never knew her build date until March 2025. 11/01/1993 was the build date for my bike, making her bloody old and definitely a mark one Monster.
She’ll soon be thirty three years old, has covered over 70k miles and sometimes even works nicely, as long as I swear in Italian.
Back to sorting out my filing cabinet and trying to get back to some sort of organisation.
