Monster Fatigue M900Sie (MY2K)

Good afternoon all, long time no anything so thought an update might be in order, so the monster didn’t sell after all, no real surprise, and I couldn’t bring myself to actually torch it, so we’ve been out playing as and when time allows, then about a month ago it disgraced itself, went on to one cylinder, luckily not too far from home, managed to nurse it back as a single to discover one of the recently fitted new injectors had thrown its hand in. Ok, I’ll admit they were suspiciously cheap for new items so lesson learned I ordered a new matched pair from the UK CCW vendor Exact Fit / Exact Start, £129 for the pair delivered, much better than the obscene ransom Ducati wanted, almost £600 each ffs!! Anyway now fitted and running ok again, for now.

In other news, thought this retirement lark was looking a bit tame and as I clearly wasn’t spending enough time / money on Ducati bits I decided to take on another rescue project, those of a sensitive nature look away now, I’ve gone over to the dark side and taken on a Y2K Aprilia RSV Mille R, chap I got it from had it for 20 years, cosmetically challenged but runs / rides ok, I won’t bore you with the details and it’s certainly been challenging, not great to work on if compared to Ducati build / packaging, seemingly endless amount of pipes, it’s like a washing machine with the bodywork off! Not a keeper!
What’s the aphorism about a fool and his money? (that’s rhetorical BTW!)
Cheers all, safe riding.

Cracked me up, I used to work with a bloke who had a Mille, 2006 I think, it had Aprillia carbon race cans on and it's the loudest bike I've ever heard, those pipes must have saved some lives ;-)

When I had a TL-S with cans I thought that was loud until some chap next to me fired up his TL-R with full system - jesus christ was that loud!

Hi Thunderbolt, afraid you won't learn much useful from my experience, apart from how to spend money on the damn thing! By way of an update the bike's problematic fuelling issues have finally been cured courtesy of BSD Performance Peterborough.
There was no major issue found just lots of small ones with the fuelling map all over the place apparently, obviously had too many uneducated hands on it in it's history, so they just charged me their basic ECU tune fee £390! But at least it's now running as intended!
Best of luck with yours, seriously though you're in the right place there is a wealth of sound knowledge on here(y)
