    ADVICE FOR THOSE LEADING RIDEOUTS

    1. Make yourself known to all persons who intend to rideout with you.
    2. We recommend the 'Drop-Off' system for group rides.
    3. Find out if everyone has ridden in a group before - if not explain any relevant info.
    4. Ensure all have enough fuel - and locate nearest garages to the meet point.
    5. Ask everybody to ride slightly 'off-set' - eg - do not directly follow the bike in front WHERE POSSIBLE. (this leaves extra braking room).
    6. HAVE FUN!

Lets give those folks in the West end of East Anglia a chance to come.
Downham Market is about as as West as it gets in Norfolk.
We've been to Arbuckle's many times and the last time I was there I think they had managed up their game a bit more.

So Sunday July 13th, 10.30am. Arbuckle's, Downham Market. PE38 0AD.

We'll be riding just round the corner after breakfast to inspect "Capo's bench" on Wimbotsham village green.

Please give me a shout if you can make it, so I can book the right size table.

Can I just ask if anyone in our gang/ group/branch has a Ducati ( need to specify due to all the Triumph owners!) flywheel locking tool I could borrow

Hi guys,
I'm unable to make Sunday. However, be aware, I drove past Arbuckles about ten days ago, the petrol stations being refurbished.
The entrance has been temporarily moved to before Arbuckles as you travel south.

I had been told that Arbuckle's looked all closed up by a friend driving past, but when I booked the table it was business as usual.
They told me that the way in was still the same, but best to not speed past the North side and watch for signs!
Not a very nice bit of road, so watch your mirrors as you cruise in and carry on to the roundabout to turn round if you need to, rather than try a U-turn.

I went earlier this year and they had just bulldozed the site at the rear of the garage, all that was left of the nesting season was a pile of tangled scrub!! They're building a supermarket apparently.
 
Well, access to Arbuckle's was as normal even if Roger and Dave decided to off road a bit to reach the carpark.. :LOL:
The filling station is now completely gone, including the tanks by the looks, with only rubble and craters left!

Even if Arbuckle's is about a 350 seater it's always intimate. We were shown into a hall I didn't even know existed for today's meet.
Food and service was excellent as usual with one tiny black mark for going back to their bitter coffee suppliers of way back, it had been quite good recently too.

We were well attended, it was good to see Walter again and to finally meet up with Kimbo.
I distributed some UKMOC calling cards at the table and an email was waiting for me when I got home. Walter had already claimed his first carding! (y)

Dacs, Walter and I dropped into Wimbotsham and had a little natter on Capo's bench before parting ways.
A very pleasant meet. Thanks guys.. (y)
