Fuel Pump

Hi Folks
has anybody tried to fit an aftermarket non ducati fuel pump to a plastic tanked 2004 M620ie? The original pump has gone tits up so I ordered a replacement at a sensible price but it is 1.5mm diameter too big to fit in the mounting in the tank has anybody got any ideas or is it a case of getting the Dremel out?

Pooh are the mountings a pair of spring clamps like in My S4 if so then the pump will squeeze in ??

turns out it was not the pump it was a dry joint in the gland coming into the tank so had to order a replacement cable.
