• PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WHEN ATTENDING A MONSTER MEET/RIDEOUT

    1. All riders ride at their OWN risk.
    2. The UKMOC will not be held liable for any accidents to riders/passengers/motorcycles whatsoever.
    3. You are deemed to be in control of your own motor cycle at all times
    4. Please let the ride leader know, if you are intending to 'peel off' en-route.

    ADVICE FOR THOSE LEADING RIDEOUTS

    1. Make yourself known to all persons who intend to rideout with you.
    2. We recommend the 'Drop-Off' system for group rides.
    3. Find out if everyone has ridden in a group before - if not explain any relevant info.
    4. Ensure all have enough fuel - and locate nearest garages to the meet point.
    5. Ask everybody to ride slightly 'off-set' - eg - do not directly follow the bike in front WHERE POSSIBLE. (this leaves extra braking room).
    6. HAVE FUN!

We managed 14 well attended breakfast meets in 2024. Well done chaps.. πŸ‘

This years first meet will be at The Broken Egg, Harleston, IP20 9QN.

10am (I hope) Sunday 12th January.

As before please give me a nod if you think you'll come so I can book a table. The sooner the better if you can, as the sooner I book the better chance of getting a table for 10am. Check here before setting off in case it's not 10am.

Weather is looking dry but rather cool, with a couple of frosts after it stops raining this week, so probably still quite salty by Sunday!

I got the table for 10am no bother, but they've moved the goal posts and asked for pre-orders for the meals!!
Why!
So if you still intend to come please let me know before Saturday and I'll send you a menu.. Sorry about this!

I decided discretion was the better part of valour this morning and dug the car out that I keep. Seems to take longer to get a car going than to dress up for a motorcycle ride!
I really hate cars, it's no secret, but I felt it was the right move only a 100 yards from home when I slipped on some invisible ice. That would have been a trip back home for clean undies at best on the bike or unthinkably worse!
Dacs recorded -5Β° on the Norwich Northern bypass and the salt was caking everything, especially my windscreen with it's frozen washers. The low Sun was the icing on the cake of an awful journey, completely blinding me at times!

A very inconvenient road block sent me all round the houses and made me nearly half an hour late. So I was not in a great mood upon arrival.
But it was still great to see DaveR, Unkle Duke, Dacs and his brother, who soon cheered me up at our first ever bike-less meet.

The food was rather good, but we had all had a humour failure before even arriving, due to the Broken Egg insisting on pre-ordering our meals. My Mate Sid even cancelled due to this. The unanimous vote was to not return.

Uncle Duke is looking into a new venue for February's meet.

Not a great start to 2025, but it can only get better.. :p
