Hi not sure if this o.k but just got my monster home, looking for a oem set of handlebars if anyone has some collecting dust, not sure if any other models have the same bars but just want to replace the aftermarket ones which were on the bike when I bought it
Cheers Richard

Cheers Darren, will try and see if compatible I’m guessing there must several oem handlebars in workshops and garages etc not being used as it seems most have been people change them to accommodate after market mirrors I guess and to make it a bit more of a sporty look. Not long had 796 so trying to sort out its issues which seem to be multiplying the more I look haha.
Regards Richard

Any good Richard? https://www.stein-dinse.com/en/ducati-handlebar-796-monster/item-2-1126470-796+Handlebar-191.html

They look very much like the handlebars on Dave's 1100S that we looked at this afternoon. Even with the fat bar section in the middle.
Hi Gary, yes pretty high price to pay haha but looks the part which I need . Have managed to remove studs from exhaust, did you say you use stainless or titanium as a replacement to the oem studs. Sorting a few electrical issues on the lighting side. Looking to get a second key cut, some 796's were sold with just 1 key I've read somewhere and would like a spare but not sure if all blanks come with a programmable chip and by the looks it like you need a specialist key cutter for those keys aswell I do have the card with the numbers to key in new code.

I'm actually still using the steel studs, but I use plenty of copperslip on them and fit deep SS dome nuts to cover them completely.
The studs I suggested were copper plated with copper plated or copper nuts, but Ti would be pushing the boat out, so long as you also use Ti nuts on them and some copperslip or moly grease to stop galling.
I'm not a fan of SS studs myself, but I'm sure plenty use them. It could open some discussion on different folks favourite..

Moto Rapido should be able to provide you with the correct key blank. I've always found the key cutter at the Dixon centre in Hellesdon to be very good, I haven't beaten him yet, but I know nothing about programming chips! Sorry.
