Monster arrives tomorrow!
The time has come to get a proper bike!
After months of searching...... The GSXR750 is up for sale and the M1100S will be in my garage tomorrow. Had a few bikes over the years but looking forward to another Italian twin. Any tips for a new owner? Will the wife notice the difference?.......... |

Just enjoy it. Take the missus on the back and she will love it. The M1100S is a great bike. I rode mine for nearly 2 years with stock shock setting but last year Wolverhampton Tony softened them a bit.Made a lot of difference.

A great bike that will take a little getting use too after a GSXR, but given that time, you will love it. Plenty of things you can add to it as well as time goes by!
Welcome to the Monster club as well. |

Might be a silly question, but this is the first Monster I have owned. How do I remove rear wheel? new tyres required and I need to satisfy my OCD for cleaning all the nooks and crannies Is there a service manual available to download anywhere? Last edited by Jayos; 24-04-2012 at 12:10 PM.. |

To remove the rear wheel you will first need a paddock stand that holds it up. You simply remove the clip on the right hand side of the axle, then undo the nut with the correct socket (46mm on the RHS and 42mm on the LHS) the brake stays in place on your bike. Make sure you tighten it up correctly when putting it back on!

Yes, it's in garage. Trouble is, so is the gsxr wife not impressed but I'm sure once the gixxer has gone all will be well.
I wish it would stop raining I need to get the hose out to give the monster a good clean. |
