ventura brackets s2r 800

Luggage arms. Bought from eBay hoping they would fit an s2r 1000 but I can't for the life of me them to fit!

R.r.p. 100, will take 60 + postage, or you welcome to collect from Bromley... if I can't get them to fit in the next few days!!

They should fit.

They are a bit fiddly to put on, and we had to do a few little mods on mine (like take a chunk out of the LH side panel) to make it fit. OK, mine was on an S2R800, but I don't see why your bike would be different.

In what way didn't it fit?

The bar that fits underneath, running across the width of the bike, seems too long. I was thinking of cutting it down but thought It may be best to order the proper bars.

Can you download instructions? Any chance of some photos of yours?

These are now definitely for sale.

managed to get them on the the bike, but the rack obscures the brake light.

I was sold them as suitable for an S2R 800 so I assume they will fit, but they don't fit my S2R 1000.

Will take £50+ p+p (rrp is £100), or a swap for a set of S2R 1000 brackets (if anyone is as dumb as me and has bought the wrong kit!)

Hey Stevo,

I've got the same L-brackets, I haven't managed to fit them because they won't work with the tail tidy I've got. I might try to make a custom bracket to go under the saddle, similar to the new version Ventura sells.

I've attached the instructions for both models, supplied from the UK distributor.

L-Bracket D023 (old model): http://www.mediafire.com/file/zzzzlhymj13/D023.pdf

L-Bracket D028 (new model): http://www.mediafire.com/file/iiymzmmmigw/D028.pdf

I hope it helps

Ciao

Thanks Loz. I mailed the ventura people and have a copy of the instructions for D023. Looking at the D028, you can see the difference in underseat bracket which is why my rack doesn't fit the 1000

So, to confirm, the kit is for the S2R 800, part number D023, with fitting instructions kindly provided by Loz above!

Looks like it will also fit older S4R bikes as well...

Last chance before they go on ebay.

I bought them with a grab handle and the sports pack. I may be willing to sell one of both of the other bits if it helps the sale. PM me with an offer for the lot...
