How about a Spring Day Trip to France ?
It's come up in a few discussions of the Kent group, but I thought I'd throw something together to try and get some people together.
I'd like to suggest maybe just a day trip to Le Touquet maybe, as it's easy to get to in a day & it's a nice place for a stroll in the sun (hopefully) & some food. Plus the road down the coast from Calais is really nice. I'd suggest catching the Chunnel over as it's the quickest route. To give people plenty of time to plan ahead, I've suggested a couple of dates for you to vote on above. Over to you...

Sounds interesting, could do with a proper ride (as opposed to dull old commuting) and I lurve the D940.
Had to go for the March date as 4th April is number one son's birthday. Having said and done that he's quite keen on riding pillion and has been down to Brighton with me before for the Speed Trials. Maybe he'd fancy the 4th April as his birthday treat so I think I could be put down as an 'either'. |

I may be interested (if I can bring the Hypermotard). What sort of time do you think the crossing will be?

I think it'll be a faily early train crossing, usually about 9am-10am train so would need to book in as early as 8.00am. Just with an idea of getting to Le Touquet around 1pm-2pm for lunch.

Possibly have to back out on this even though I want to go. 28th will be at work and the following week me and caroline are going to Oban in Scotland in a cottage for a week with no kids. Taking pushbikes though.
Next time but belgiums a yes still

Yeah that's fine, but being a Yellow BMW, you may well have to be at the back

Ooooh, I only just realised it is yellow... perhaps that is a step too far!!! Although a nice brightly coloured rear gunner could be useful.....
