Angry Mce " on hold "

I have just renewed with MCE, good cover for the money but I have long suspected the majority of their revenue comes from the 0800 phone number they use. They now give out a " local rate " number........ Even so, 32 minutes to renew as an existing policy holder................can anyone beat that !!!!!

I used MCE a couple of times but they never used to have 0800 or local rate numbers and like you found I was on the phone for ages whenever I phoned them up. For the past couple of years have been using Bennetts.

Yes some 08 numbers are expensive and insurance comp are using them a lot. I had to deal with one re an accident recently, I think they try to recoup losses using them. Once I realised I googled and found a standard landline number
