Vire, Normandy
I have just back from a long weekend in Normandy. Aside from positively melting in my leathers it was that hot, we stayed in Vire, so down in the south, close to many excellent roads - about an hour & a half from Cherbourg
The Hotel de France http://i632.photobucket.com/albums/u...arket/AAA5.jpg aside from being really friendly, has a garage to put the bikes in overnight – always a consideration when planning a trip http://i632.photobucket.com/albums/u...rket/AAA20.jpg There are plenty of good bars & restaurants within 5 mins walk. We’ll be going back later in the summer. At 60 Euros a night for a double room with a bathroom, I’d say that’s pretty good value. |
