new S2R 800 owner - and forum member
Hi, I have recently bought an 2005 S2R 800 in pretty much mint condition with 6500 miles on clock from a bloke who lived round the corner here in SW London and who owned 4 Ducatis + a couple of classic trail bikes and was downsizing his (gorgeous) collection, hence the low mileage I guess.
It's the black version with black wheels, pretty much standard except for some danmoto end cans and a carbon bellypan + hugger, oh and an upgraded front disc and caliper. So it's in good nick, service history, I put some new tyres on it (Rosso II's and they're good) as it rode terribly to start with - was possibly the original tyres, eek!. I use it in the city and for longer rides out into surrey and sussex, it's ace. I have worked in Perth, Aus for a number of years and owned an M900 whilst there (almost too hot to ride a bike there during the day in summertime!) which I loved. Then I had to endure an NTV 650 Revere whilst I sorted out some financial woes..I have since moved back to S W London (and loving it). I previously owned a Yam RS125, XL250, RD250LC, GPZ500, GPX600, 1000EXUP, TDR250 and an Aprillia Moto (a Philippe Starck design exercise which looked better than it went) plus a CB400 when I was courriering. I am looking to upgrade the suspension, swap out the danmotos for something a little nicer, upgrade the mirrors and grips and continue to enjoy my sweet, beautiful italian machine. I needed to put some adjustable levers on to actually operate the clutch comfortable - ASV shorties are lovely.. So, hi to you all and, I love the forum, good job! Pengers. |

Hello and welcome Pengers.
You will not find a finer club anywhere for help and advice...Some of the Lads and Lasses on here have gone to a lot of trouble to help me out...Can't thank them enough. |

Hello and welcome. An uprated clutch slave goes a long way helping, usually ~£100-£200, especially if you ride in town.

Plenty of club meets are being organised around London
Best way to meet ukmoc members and get to know people

Welcome to the club , your bike is a nice find by the sound of it. Good luck with the modifications.

OK, here is the evidence, did I forget to mention the rack?? Which I know doesn't do much for the looks but it has already been very useful..if I find a way to not need it then I will remove..and add a tail tidy probably.
