Hey Paul,

Interest is growing for this event, four of us have accommodation booked already One of the nearest places to Newby Hall is Boroughbridge, best western has a place there , the Crown Hotel and they have rooms available but you must ring the hotel direct as they have disappeared off the .com sites .I actually got a double room slightly cheaper than it was originally advertised on booking .com

If that floats your boat it’s £135:00 for the double room including a full breaky.Ask for Dawn if you call.

The Grantham Arms also had rooms available .

So as well as aidie and his GTA 147 of Top Gear fame we have the following fine examples to show off to the unsuspecting attendees,

M600
M821
S2r 1000
S4r
M1200r
M1100
S2r 800….possibly
Either a 750ie or an M1000sie
Possibly adies 851 too…….or 916

It would be great if we get a few more,be nice to meet a few forum members from the Yorkshire region too.

It’s only 30 days to go !

Ok folks We are trying to get this event sorted , I am not getting much response from club alpha directly but it would appear from the website the following applies:-

Motorcycles and passengers who are exhibiting, £5:00.
Cars exhibiting ,£10:00.

Two ways of doing this,
A) post up if you are going,PayPal me a fiver and I will register you.

B ) jump on the website and register yourself.

As we said before the intention is the get the club gazebo there and get an exhibit Established. It’s a one day event and you can even wander about and look at four wheeled Italian exotica

Paul, if there is anything I have missed mate please jump in

I’m assuming that they will allow me on to the display field with the car & trailer to decant the gazebo & bike & then I can move it into the public parking area (neither car nor trailer are Italian). I’m also assuming £5 entry for my bike.

I would have been all over this as I live about an hour north of here but my bikes off the road needing friction plates in the clutch and possibly a new slave cylinder.
Enjoy the day, I went a few years ago and it had some lovely cars but not many bikes.

I would have been all over this meet up but currently having a few nights in Rothbury, Northumberland. I went to the first Newby italian day, which was sparse as to be expected. I’m sure it’s gathered momentum. Plenty of pics please

A good day

Saturday saw great weather in the Wirral, a good journey up to Adie’s house and from there to the crown hotel boroughbridge. Beers ordered and outside to enjoy the evening we were joined by Grumpy.

Today brought a change in weather, blue sky yes but a few degrees colder.off to Newby hall we went and timed arrival perfectly to meet big red duke.

Pitch sorted ,gazebo up and bikes displayed, not as many as we had hoped for but next to us was Christy , this year with his moto guzzi hat on and the Yorkshire branch of DOCGB. Overall a good gathering.

Ferrari, alpha, fiat,Lamborghini, lancia……… a good selection to ogle while we were there.we became very popular when the downpours started!, some pics of the day below.

The ride up on Saturday was cracking. Left Peterborough late morning, headed across the Fens into Lincolnshire Wolds, then towards the Humber Bridge.
The roads are great fun.
Popped to bigredduke's once across the Humber for catch up over a cuppa and bacon sandwich ( thanks Paul, most welcome), then headed across Yorkshire via a route recommended by Paul, to Boroughbridge and meet up with Mike and Co.
Beer was drunk, food consumed, the world put to rights!
Today we set up at Newby Hall for a day of exotica, plus the odd ball car/ bike.
The show was winding down from about 3pm, so we packed up and head home. Mike and Co to the Wirral, Paul to the Humber, myself back to Cambridgeshire.
As Mike mentioned, the weather was changeable, so I hopped on the A1, filled the tank and pointed the 12r South, for a damp mundane trip home.
Just over 300 miles covered since leaving home.
All in all a good weekend.
