Monster virgin
Hi guys and girls, new to the site, and to the Desmo way of life. I bought a 620ie monster last year that was a right off via good old eBay. I've spent the last 6 months rebuilding it from the ground up, fresh paint, tail chop, a drizzle of renthal and after a period of nearly two years it runs.....kind of. Hopefuly it will be road legal in the next month or so. i will post some pics in due course. Hope to see you at a cafe or look out in the summer.

You got any pics yet?
I'm particularly curious in your renthal bars, something I've thought about changing on my otherwise stock 2001 M600. Also looking for the right tail chop kit out of the many available, leaning towards the monstertailchop.com 'Shorty' and doing away with the number plate light. I've made a mock up bracket but need to find someone here in Austria who speaks good enough English to understand that I want him to make it out of metal for me :-) Saw a couple Monsters with full size number plates on after a tail chop too, was horrified, so I'm going to get a smaller one, anyone know the legal size requirements etc. for number plates of the top of their head? When I'm not in Austria, I'm in Hertfordshire too, hopefully see you out and about! |

Hmm seems like I should have checked back to this forum some time ago..... After a few months on the bike and only one major issue I shall stick some pictures up when I learn how. It's been a cracking summer on a v twin.... Problem is now I want a second one.....
