Hi fellow Monstro's, just seen I'm the newest member so here goes with 1st posting.

Been a 750ie owner for 5 years since new and just done a trip on it to Le Mans for the 24 hour car race. A group of 5 of us first went in 1987 so we re-grouped for a 20th anniversary trip all on bikes. a Hornet, Yamaha, Harley (sad) Triumph, and my Monster. Used the minor roads which were a bikers paradise twisting turning undulating through French countryside, superb surfaces and devoid of traffic.

Whenever we stopped on route it was the Monster that attracted most attention. Highlight was parked on quayside at Honfluers on Normandy coast on way back having moules mariniere for lunch while a group of Italian tourists admired my bike ignoring the others !

My Monster 'purred' its way through france and can't wait to do it again.

Hi Ken, sounds like a great trip. I've got good memories of touring that part of France in a TVR in my youth, but best not shared here

There are some great guys on the forum - very friendly and helpful.
