Hi from the mountains!

Hi everyone, new to the forum, seems to be lots of knowledgable peeps on here! Picked up a 98 Monster Dark 600 a few weeks back for around 1500 squid. My first Ducati but have ridden them before (I was art director at Fast Bikes magazine back in 91!) I'm a Londoner living out in Innsbruck, Austria. We got a lot of nice roads here but weather is sketchy in the mountains! So, my Monster needs a bit of love and am in the process of tidying her up. Just slapped a set of SP Engineering pipes on her, much better. Recovered the seat with a nifty leather one from fleabay and next is a nice matt metallic vinyl tank wrap. Motor is sweet and bike sailed through the Austrian equivalent of our MOT. Bring on the good weather and if you're ever around these parts make contact, big bike scene over here!

Hi AndyAlps and welcome to the forum.

I'll be visiting Austria for the first time as part of my ride to and from World Ducati Week this summer. Decided it's about time I did the Grossglockner and some of the other passes there. Everyone raves about how beautiful & clean Austria is.

Nice one! Grossglockner is over Salzburg way, but if you're over Innsbruck way let us know. Austrian roads are superb, views awesome etc but do watch out for the cops and their radar guns, they tend to come out on sunny days... a bit like hay fever, spoil the summer and get up your nose ;-)

Hello and welcome.
I've got friends in Linz and Wels (further away than Saltzburg) and also Bolzano, which is pretty close to you, even if it's in Italy.
We stayed in Kaprun a couple of years ago before going over Grossglockner and the Giau Pass, sensational roads and scenery.

Hi there

Purely by coincidence I've also picked up some SP Engineering cans this week from eBay for my 900 project (380mm oval carbon)

You shouldn't be disappointed! I ordered the Carbon Slash cut stubby version, great sound and look the nuts! Great price too and very easy to fit.

Quick video of the bike and the new pipes if anyone interested in a sound check. Usual format: stock, new pipes baffles in and out!
