dawning of a new era?

Am excited beyond words. Tomorrow sees my 796 clock his first miles. I can't believe this long-awaited day is almost here. November 2003 I started dreaming of getting a Monster, and 1 March 2011 is the official start of my Monster era.

The chaps at Ducati Manchester have done a sterling job in making sure it happens! And, Buzzbomb, I will be careful

I know how you feel.
I fell in love with a bevel engined 750 sport in 1973 (february, actually).
Finally got my M750 in 2005.
Its now the only road bike I ever want.
Hope your relationship goes as well as mine has.

Thanks, guys. A perfect Monster day. Dry, sunny, calm. Rode rather gingerly – everything all a bit too new at the moment! Love him though. And those Termis are still ringing in my ears. If I get my head down and finish this work, I may be allowed out early for another ride...

Welcome to the fold and enjoy the Monster. And Qba is right, the grinning doesn't stop.

So glad that the termi's are all you wanted, now just imagine if I hadn't insisted that you have them fitted before I delivered it (the olde fart knows best) LOL. Take care and we'll see you soon for the first service...Geoff.

You've been annoyingly right! I woke up still grinning this morning. Another spin round North Yorks at lunchtime I think... the husband's away, so out with my Monster to play

Hey Utopia, I had a yellow 750 sport in the late 70's when I was 20. What a pig of a bike!! The first day I took it round to the local youth club to show it off to my mates, it took 40 kicks on the kickstarter to get it going!! Twin coils & twin points & Champion spark plug caps----nightmare!! Nice bike though once sorted.
