Smile Lincs. Italian Motorcycle Festival Saturday 15th August.

On Sunday evening (5th July) we received permission from the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (LAHC) to go ahead with this event on Saturday 15th August.

We will have to do online ticketing through our website rather than have riders pay cash on the gate as we usually do. Numbers will be limited due to Covid-19 restrictions. It will take us a few days to set up the online ticketing.

Link for tickets: https://www.ukbuellgroup.co.uk/446571990

If UKMOC would still like a club stand at the event please let me know ASAP. I've emailed a copy of the event poster to Gary P.

Thank you Chris.

The gauntlet is down chaps, do we want a stand?

I think we do.
East Kirby is a cracking day out, where, under normal circumstances, we have a good turn out of members.
Who can resist chatting with like minded people, whilst not only a Lancaster, but a Mosquito are fired up and paraded !

I intend to go. Advance tickets are often a pain if the weather is poor but at least it will go to a good cause if I chicken out! A stand would be good but it's the logistics of getting it there & back that is the problem.

Perhaps we take a banner and some stakes, rather than the gazebo ( which is currently residing in the Manchester area!)
Carrying a banner in a back pack is straight forward. If the stakes are collapsible they could be also carried on a bike....

We're still in lockdown here in Leicester.
Its just been extended for at least another two weeks.
Who knows when it will be lifted but for the time being I'm not really allowed out of the city boundaries.
I've been to quite a few of these and always enjoy them but its looking unlikely that I'll be able to make it this year.

My sympathies to you Jeff. I know you want to get out for a ride!

Not the usual take up for this normally popular event? Anybody else going?

We are pleased to confirm that Paul and Carol Klatkiewicz, Ducati Technical Services, will have a stand at the event. Paul will demonstrate one of his rare race Ducatis during the motorcycle engine run-up display which begins at 12.30pm.

The stand is still in storage where the Weekender was ment to take place this year....up north!

I would look for a collection of monsters huddled together, with a couple of NFN ( normal for Norfolk) types near by!
