Thumbs up Newbie

Hi all,

I am new to the forum. I am a DSC member and am here as a spy.
I don't have any road bike at the moment because all of my money is sunk into racing my 1995 583 monster (which is a blast ...but an expensive one
However I have started a new business which some of you may be interested in. It is modelled on the increasingly popular dog walking businesses popping up these days except that I offer a bike riding service which entails me taking my customer's bikes out for some fresh air. It is aimed at the customer who is too busy to take their own bike out regularly or more likely those who have a garage full of bikes and are finding it difficult to give them all of the attention that they clearly deserve.
If there are any potential customers here please PM me with your details and we can book you in....

Anyway hello to you all....

Franco

Sorry I didn't catch up with you at Brands, I was too busy admiring the way Zimbo showed everyone the way round What excuse are you using to get out of Mallory then!?!

I've just got back from a weekend in Germany, those roads never cease to amaze me! If you know the area at all then seek out the Cochem bends, they make the trip worthwhile on their own, no need to risk life and limb on the 'Ring as it's fantastic biking country ideally suited to the 'Strada. It's amazing value for money compared to the dosh I laid out each DD weekend, as I'm sure you know mate!

Let me know what races you're doing and I'll come seek you out sir, good luck

Hi,

Unfortunately I have to go to a stag weekend in Dublin, it's so upsetting which is why I won't be at Mallory.
I think I might have got a glimpse of you at Brands but I definitely maintain that I develop a form of madness at the race weekends - it's like a dizzy dream most of the time lol
Yes, unless my finances change I don't think I will survive another year racing. If I don't my DD Monster will become a pamapered road bike with a mean streak

I should be at all other rounds, Oulton, Castle Coombe, Donnington, Snetterton and Cadwell.

See you soon

Franco

Yay...its with Tuna. (Cat owners will know)

Hi Franco

Not 5 minutes ago I had someone calling from a far flung destination, purporting to offer a much better internet plan than the one I already have. Alas, I told her, I was merely a concerned friend and neighbour charged with the task of ensuring the longevity their cat Mr. Tibblesworthy by the introduction of food to his bowl. (Names were changed to protect the innocent) and the owners would not be back in about 1-2 months. "Yes, I do know where they are" I told her "But I do not feel that they would appreciate being disturbed for such an interview considering the nature of their absence". I mentioned to her that I would be more than happy to pass the message on regarding her kind offer, but I did make it clear that I could not possibly forsee whether it would be of interest, especially considering that I had read somewhere that the internet was the source of such unsavoury things as 'pornography' and 'terrorism'. Having reached an end to our internet discussion I felt it would be rude not to ask her a question, because like any Englishman I have an irrational fear of awkward silences. "Do you like like dags?" I asked. "Do I like what?" she replied. "Dags" I repeated. "Because one often hears of the terrible treatment and consumption of animals in Korea". She made it quite clear that she wasn't Korean, for which I apologised on the mistaking of her accent, and went on to explain why my friend (whose cat I was feeding) and I, had agreed never to bolster the economy of such a barbaric nation and I am sure she understood my reasons for asking. With complete assurance of her love of pets, especially cats, I then suggested that she might be interested to hear about the expansion of my new cat feeding and stroking business, for which I would be delighted to visit and take care of her feline companions whilst she holidayed, and did she have any friends who might be interested? Unfortunately, just as I was getting into the swing of explaining the benefits of my entreprise, she learned of another pressing engagement and would have to delince my kind offer. It would appear she had unwittingly stumbled way off the beaten scripted path and into the unknown backwaters of ad-libistan. How could it have happened? So as I traverse the kitchen grinning happily to myself whilst describing the obvious benefits of my latest ruse to an increasingly frustrated caller who cannot wait to get of the phone, I contemplate that this has been 5 minutes very well spent on their phone bill.

Perhaps we can discuss franchise rights to your new business Franco, I feel there is a strong market hiding behind the telesales industry.

I'm confident that CK would have counted all of AK's "bit's" by now and would have made it quite clear if any were missing

I'm afraid some of his bits are definitely where they shouldn't be

Might be a good idea if you can pop over before we go to Mallory, Franco - might need a spare lever or 2

Katana - you leave him alone, or I'll set Dibble on you - those eyetyes will stick together y'know
