Sorry to hear that Chris, it really sucks. Isn't there a spare child or kidney you could sell instead?

Very sorry it's come to that Chris!
That was me nearly 20 years ago, not through redundancy, but still a wrench to see it go off with someone else. I came back though with an even better Monster and it's going nowhere even though I got made redundant a year ago.. Just been too busy to ride it since..

That's rotten news, Chris. Hope you get a quick sale and that the personal side of things improves too.
Have you thought about selling some of the choicest bits separately, like the Terms/ECU, Wilbers shock and rearsets? I'm sure you could get the best part of £1000, maybe more. Whoever is lucky enough to buy your Evo will get one of the best examples around. It would be nice if it went to an existing member - if not, don't forget to tell the new owner to join UKMOC so we can keep an eye on the old girl for you. Best of luck. |

Not a good time for you, Chris, it's happened to me a couple of times over the years. I hope you get back on your feet quickly, it's a shame to have to sell the bike it looks like you've done a lot of quality upgrades.

That's a lovely looking bike and well sorted too. I have to admit I was never a really big fan of that generation of Monster but with hindsight being what it is, I can see now a lot of the original tropes of the original in it, which makes me just appreciate it all the more for what it is. What they are calling a Monster now is really just hideous in comparison.
