Not sure exactly how they are on a carby tank but on mine I have the overflow and breather connected as they exit the tank into a 'Y' piece and then just a single hose down to the ground, tidies things up a bit IMO.

In the Haynes manual it’s illustrated like that. I’ll be ordering some fuel safe rubber tubing and the ‘Y’ piece. |
