Intermittent Engine Light
Bike (S2R800) has been in the garage for a few months hooked up to a C Tek charger. Took it out for a ride today, fired up first time no issues but the orange engine light came on. Bike seemed to run fine so I took it out and after it warmed up the light went off, however it came on again a few times during the ride. It would stay on for a few seconds then go off. As mentioned the bike is running fine. Any ideas?

My 796 does this sometimes going down a long hill off the throttle. When the throttle opens again the light goes off. Done it since I've had it, which is about three years.

My S4 had similar symptoms when the crank sensor was failing or i suppose it could be one of the other sensors that control ECU, air temp/pressure or oil temp. If one of tbose was starting to fail.

Reading the error code will tell you more so if you have DUCATIDIAG or similar use that to see the error codes that caused the light to come on.

I guess it's a difficult one to forum diagnose lol
It should be going for its annual trip to Proteam in March but in the meantime I'll look into Ducatidiag. Can someone post or PM me the current details for it please? |

So I've got the error codes as below. What do I do next? Is it a DIY fix? Do I leave it to ProTeam? Do I just reset?
If it needs booking in I will have to put off buying a new rear shock P0105 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Malfunction status DTC: A1 Open circuit,Short circuit Vbat P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction status DTC: A4 Open circuit P0500 Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction status DTC: A1 Open circuit,Short circuit Vbat U1600 Immobilizzatore nessun segnale[Fiat] status DTC: A8 No or poor signal |

Am I right in assuming that the error log is a cumulative event list that fills up to memory capacity?
I had something similar on a car ecu, problem was when I looked pretty much all the problems had been fixed but had been left on the log, it took hours to find it was actually a simple problem because I had to check the major looking errors first!!

No idea, maybe I should clear it and see if they come back?
