1100 Evo Diesel Limited Edition

Nothing to do with me of course, but if anyone is looking for one, there is one for sale in Italy on a certain popular online auction site, as a buy it now not an auction.

I won't post a link to it to avoid upsetting any conspiracy theorists on here who may or not read or approve of this.

I just thought it was an interesting bike for the cognoscenti here to discuss or if you had not seen one before, obviously a lifestyle choice bike as it offers no performance over the standard bike, but I won't open that particular can or worms.

BTW it's Diesel as in the Italian jeans company not the fuel! Which is kinda ironic since a lot of Jap rice burner riders call Ducatis diesels anyway Enjoy (or not)?

I really like the Diesel. It reminds me of my homemade Manson Drone guitar. If I had the money I would.

Yea, it's a bit Mad Max marmite style wise but still a better option than the Scrambler 1100 that Ducati currently offer, so if you were looking for a style type bike and don't mind that they were named by the original buyer on the plaque it's kind of a cool bike and rare since they only made to order.

Do you know were they commissioned by Ducati or by Diesel? Since they don't feature in the official Monster Bible.

I remember when these came out (2013 I think). Moto Rapido had one in the showroom and I quite liked it, especially the blacked out elements like the engine and forks. In fact, my black headlamp frame is actually from the Diesel edition. I considered getting the Diesel saddle too, as it looked quite comfy, but went with the DP one instead.

I think that some of the styling elements, such as the blacked out hardware and the military look, can be seen on the Scrambler Urban Enduro from 2015.

It's not just paint that made the bike. It has more details than that. Seat is different in cover and seat cover shape too. Dash cowl is metal. You could make one but its limited so would be not special. Like the 20th anniversary people bought because that but some changed bits regardless. They may be collectable one day.

Yea, it is a pretty much a fancy paint job but lots of other detail stuff too that are unique to the bike and with your name and the edition number on the bike which make it unique. But like I said it is prettu much just a styling job and so very similar to the current Scrambler model in style I think but thankfully without the brown saddle.

I would think this has been imported looking at the name on the plaque and the dealers history !!

They’re as rare as RHS in the UK, I was told only 6 registered.

Personally, I think they’re one of the best ‘specials’ Ducati produced

I saw one in Cornerspeed a few years back, think it was in for a service. That's the only one I've ever seen, so certainly rare. I don't even think they get mentioned in the Monster Bible.

I don't normally like the modern Monsters very much but I do like this apart from the yellow brake caliper, which sticks out like a sore thumb and I can't unsee it from the whole bike . Why is it yellow ????

Doh. Yep, got it! It's in the later edition with the 1200 on the cover.

How do we confirm how many Diesel’s in the UK ? tried ‘how many left’ but not listed.

Is there a contact at Ducati I could contact ?
