Greetings Fellow Ducatisti ...

... it was great to discover that a club dedicated to Monster owners exists in the UK and I am very happy to have been able to join. Owning a Monster had always been a dream of mine and it wasn't until March last year that I was able to make this dream come true (now the very proud owner of a Monster 696). Unfortunately, dealing with the dealer was a major source of frustration and I guess this is one of the main reasons I was eager to join a club, to be able to benefit from other people's experience, as well as to offer mine. I would also be very much interested in riding with fellow members, workload permitting of course (based in North-West London).

I have the first service coming up soon and since the bike is still covered by warranty, I am unfortunately limited to taking it to official Ducati dealers only. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Many thanks,

benaround

Welcome to the club! There are plenty of us in and around London so there should be some rideouts pretty soon with the weather picking up. Keep an eye out for the tunnel run as I think another one was mentioned soonish (highly recommended, do a search for the thread! )

Not sure about dealers, as I’ve never been to one (specialists are the way to go once the warranty has expired), but I’m sure someone will be along soon to help.

Once you are out of the warrenty period id use Rosso Corse in Bethnal green

Never used the dealers in London (Daytona, Metroplis and Red Dog) so I can comment on them

But Dr Ray is the Man :-)

Oh yes. London is truly blessed with Rosso Corse!!! It's sort of the stable where all lost Ducati sheep return to ;-) Only to leave again with new hopes and strenght to face the big bad wolf called life again.

However as your stuck with warranty work you will prob end up with Brett at Ducati Kings Cross (Daytonas). Stay away from Metropolis. Only after sale horror stories emerge from the Vauxhall lot.

Another vote for Rosso Corse, Marcus and Ray are very friendly and they always squeeze you in & you get to admire some amazing bikes.
So what about this tunnel run?! I'm looking forward to it, Blackwall has to be my favourite, perfect shape for acoustic bliss.

... many thanks to Steeevvvooo, animaluk, slob, Diego and hungermonkey for the prompt reply and indeed to the rest of the club for the warm welcome ... I guess the warranty can be as much of a curse as it is a blessing.

The tunnel ride sounds exciting and I am indeed looking forward. A few months ago I rode my Monster to Athens, Greece, so happy to offer advice to anyone interested in attempting something similar. I am guessing some of the club members are attending this year World Ducati Week.

Welcome to the club. There are a good load of of going down to WDW but also the forum is usually pretty active for events or rides across the year if that takes your fancy and you have the time.
March 28th for a trip out to Brookland's for example, or the club also holds a weekender in Alcester (near Stratford Upon Avon) from May 1st to 3rd for club members to get together. Day guests always welcome for a visit especially on the Sunday. (accommodation full at the venue but stuff nearby or you can camp)
There are also a bunch of members who are pretty active on the trackday circuit for a bit of off-road fun.
I've found Daytona's in King Cross to be good when I've used them for my warranty work in the past but certainly Rosso Corse, like a lot of the London guys, very good for everything else.
