North West 2022

A very Happy and Healthy New Year to one and all, let’s hope the pandemic is on the downward curve. Slowly but surely we are getting used to the “new normal”. Over populated inside venues to be avoided, arranged group visits a distant memory , outside the box thinking required.

It’s at this time of year I post a calendar of potential meets/ events for the coming year, I am going in a different direction this time around, group discussion regards this years aspirations will take place at the first monthly meet at the Lockgate, Sunday 9th January. My intention is to post up the agreed Calendar, with the proviso always….. restrictions permitting !

Laura opens the doors at 09:00 so I suggest we aim for then given the popularity of the place.

Looking forward to a catch up with you then, stay safe.

Mike

Happy new year to you too Mike and all the rest of the North West lads and ladies.

Well done for first footing on a positive note. I feel much the same way about the way forward and seek inspiration.
I feel a bit like I'm gently circling in the pool at the bottom of a waterfall having just come over the top!!.

Hi there Gary, yes mate but your head is still above the water so inflate the life raft and let’s paddle on from there negotiating the white water rapids that 2022 will throw at us

Jeezus WTF……. Sorry about that mate, not sure where that came from

Thanks for that Mike. I love the metaphor and that your glass is definitely over the half full mark.
That chilly mountain water sure makes you feel alive..

Hey nice one Mark, if two wheels are not an option maybe we could lift share?

My man math says two in a car equals two wheels each so we could declare we travelled on two wheels

January meet, calendar for the year

Good to be back at the Lockgate again and have a post Christmas catch up with Chris,Mark, Adie and Pete.

A friendly welcome from Laura and the New team, wasn’t as busy as we first thought, probably due to the effects of the pandemic.

Lots of discussion regarding ideas for the year, this is how it’s panning out at the moment,

Monthly meets ~ at the Lockgate, 9:00,

February ~ Sunday 6th
March ~ Sunday 6th
April ~ Sunday 3rd
May ~ Sunday 1st * see Ref to BSB below
June ~ Sunday 5th * see Ref to Welsh Castles below
July ~ Sunday 3rd
August ~ Sunday 7th
September ~ Sunday 4th
October ~ Sunday 2nd
November ~ Sunday 6th
December ~ Sunday 4th

Ride outs,events and stuff !

BSB oulton Park ~ 30th April to 2nd May, consensus is to go on qualifying which would be Sunday 1st May ….. so monthly meet would switch to Oulton Park !

Newby Hall” Italian Cars and Bikes” ~ Sunday 29th May. Agreed we will try to get a stand at this event. I will get in touch with the organisers and take it from there, an opportunity to get the rest of UKMOC involved.

Welsh Castle Challenge ~ 2nd to 5th June. Grumpy tabled the idea, looks a great challenge, if we get the schedule right it will tie in with the June monthly meet.

As we progress the year we will be arranging a visit to RAF Cosford, Barmouth, Ny500,Dons bike stop and re visiting devils bridge, dates to be arranged so watch this space.

Looking forward to a great year folks,as discussed any suggestions for a day out please shout up.

Stay safe, Mike

Keep me up to date with RAF Cosford plus Newby Hall.
Cosford would be a day out from where I live, Newby Hall could be a weekend away.
Barmouth? Day out?
