Stainless pivot bolt for levers

Hi all, I'm just about to get some handlebar lever pivot bolts made in stainless steel and was wondering if anyone else out there might want some made at the same time. Its the relatively old type, part number 626.4.060.1A, 12mm dia, hollow, with two flats at one end and threaded at the other. I've not got the quote yet, but if you might be interested let me know asap as I'm looking to get them back in three weeks time, i.e. around 26th May. Thanks Bitza.

Depending on the how the price works out can you put me down for 2 sets of these, if they're the same as the ones on the early goldlines?. Thanks

Nasher
If the bolts are the same and they fit the early goldlines, I'll have a couple of sets please?

What's the purpose of doing this? Is it for improved appearance or function?

I ask because some years back I converted the older lever pivots of the ST4 to 10mm needle-roller bearings for smoothness of operation. I used a stainless shanked bolt for the bearing surface and used the original pivot sleeve cut into two sections as spacers. I certainly felt it was worthwhile, and could post the details in the how-to section if there was any interest.

It's mainly just cosmetic. Some of these will be quite old and grotty looking. They may also be a bit worn too, perhaps?

This type? Probably the same as your 900ie

I'll have a pair too, subject to the cost not being too ridiculous for bespoke, one-off parts such as these.
Tbh I'm intrigued to know what the cost of making these by modern methods would actually be.
Certainly it would be uneconomical to make them commercially on my ancient centre-lathe (and tricky too, as it won't screwcut metric threads).
Hopefully, a larger order quantity will help to keep the price down somewhat and make the project a little more feasible.

Sorry to those who have shown an interest but I'm still awaiting a price for the lever pivot bolts, and the three week delivery now seems a lot less likely too, I'll update you when I have some news, Bitza.
