M900 Splitter cable - 1994
Hi
Another question regarding bike starting. I am in the process of cleaning electrical connections and have a question regarding the red splitter cable connecteded to the positve battery terminal. The split side connections are numbered 1 and 2 One connection goes the starter relay the other to the wiring loom. Question is, does it matter which order the cables are connected? Mks |

No, just make sure the cables and battery connector are clean before you bolt them down.

which order? you mean which one you put on the positive terminal first?
As long as they’re both on there and firmly tightened down it’s all good, the order makes no difference, once connected they’re both at the 12V end of the system. Always disconnect the negative (earth) terminal first when removing a battery, and connect the negative last when reinstalling the battery. This makes working on the positive terminal much safer. |
