Case saver

Sorry to revive an old topic guys.

But wondering if anybody knows of an off the shelf case saver for an 1100 evo…and will it fit with a standard 15t sprocket?

Thanks again

The very best way to save your cases is not to let your chain snap! If that happens, you'll likely be on the ground with an interesting pattern on the back of your leg and the bike in a ditch. Regular chain maintenance and the correct tension will make your bike run sweeter and be more efficient. Just putting your faith in a bit of tin and neglecting the chain would be a mug's game.

That’s a bit like “You don’t need to wear a belt, so long as you look after your braces”!

....And they did have a tendancy to snap for no reason at one time. (Chains not braces). Regina were the ones I seem to recall reading about so it's there just to protect your cases if you are unlucky. But I agree if you are then you probably have more important things to worry about but a wrecked engine wouldn't be one of them.

Thanks for the links darren69. I did do a search, not very well as it appears as I missed both those threads.

I’ll probably get some sheet metal and see if I can fabricate one.

If you search 'chain snapped' you can read all the horror stories and more case saver info too.
