Monster 900ie tank and clocks

Hi,
Had an off at Snettterton last week on my 1998 900ie.

Need a set of clocks and a fuel tank.

Don't have to be mint, as longs as they are usable/ repairable., a carb tank will do.

To stop me going a bit crazy, could you please explain how your 1998 M900 is an ie, as Monsters did not get injection until 2000.
Also, of it is injection, how would you get a pump into a carb model tank? The filler neck is much smaller on the carbed tanks and they don't have a clip inside for a pump, nor the plumbing.
The filler caps are not interchangeable between the types.

I'm thinking maybe you can swap between carbs and injection systems at will?

I was thinking same thing.How? The tanks are very different inside and a different shape underneath too I think.

It's a early ie. I think a 99 model. it has the original cantilever
rear suspension as per the carbed monsters. I bought it from the original owner so it's a factory spec bike.
I had a late carbed 600 with same tank.
I assumed monsters were like the 900ss. carbed bikes have an in tank pump with the same fittings as my injected monster tank.
pumps are a different spec obviously.

Don't the carbed M900s run an in tank pump?

Just had a look at tanks on eBay.
I see what you guys mean. much smaller apeture under the filler cap trim on carbed bikes.

Looks like I'll be braking the bike and putting the the motor and running gear in my 900ss superlight rep. project.
