Looks very well with the aluminium bits Albie. Also, I prefer it without the number boards.
My brother bought one in the winter. Expensive bike but very nice in the flesh. Wrapped it up in the garage till the weather faired up. Needless to say, still wrapped up waiting for the lockdown to pass. I'm really looking forward to getting a run out on it.

Agreed very nice, especially in a classic 60's Scrambler colour but I just can't get on with those number plate holders.

Nothing much, just a few more small Ti trinkets to swap out

Agree about the Scrambler number plate thing too, just not to my taste. Sorry, too modern? Chain looks a bit slack?

FYI. The number plate holder is easily swapped for a more traditional style one. I done it to mine, probably took 20mins.

You may already be aware that the DOT minimum distance for front indicators is 240mm and 180mm for rear? And although they don't measure them it's up to the tester to decide pass/fail if he thinks they are too close. Will probably be fine if you have a Ducati friendly tester though.

I dont have a huge issue with the bumper number plate holder tbh. I have even got 2 alternatives to hand. Only issue right now is if I lose it its relocate number plate light also. I may buy another so keep it together and just plug in.
When I bought a spare tank to be done black maybe I also got a number plate evotech one. Also when I got the aluminium front mudguard kit for the classic for £140 new kit it comes also with rear longer mudguard/tea tray and frame which includes number plate bracket frame. It's actually quite neat looking and what they use on the desert sled. That's for another day.
Having been in love with this bike since launch and waiting 5 months for it I paid £6500 I think. Add on the £2000 extras at the time it's all I wanted from it. It has most of the billet parts on it and termi. I really am not keen on the newer ones because the simplicity is gone. Look more like monsters now. It is what it is. A fun bike. Took me to the IoM ok.
I long to keep her always as its number 727 off the line.

Thanks for the info Darren its easy to change them over.
My MOT man is an ex racer and tends to to do more talking than testing if i hang about the during test

yea, sorry, more frivolous titanium lock down boredom: -

But in my defence I had already fitted an Ohlins shock with all titanium mounting pins/bolts.

Thought I should reply to this mega thread I accidentally created

So a wee bit on my plate now, the minor clutch slave job on the evo; currently awaiting the parts.

Listed some spare R6 bits to sell if I can. And can’t get the front sprocket off to fit the new one. It is one very tight nut. I’ll need to wait for lockdown to finish and get one of the bike boys over to hold it down.

Currently Considering selling or swapping the vfr. Might be a bad move be hey ho.

Other than that I’ve started a fairly big garden project and think I might be half deranged by not getting out.

Still getting on fixing things except my monster . Electric guitars progressing wanting top coats of paint. Sold my Popsicle fizzy for a good cause. Must have been mad but 4k in the bank.
Doing up my grandkids offroad bike which has been sitting in the garage for 2 years waiting. Just needs a refresh.
Actually more room in the garage making life more pleasant.
Stay safe still everyone.
Been thinking about Geoff ( Buzzbomb ) wondering what he would have made of all this going on.

Stuck at home decorating mostly. Washed the bikes and prepped ready to ride once the lockdown finishes, need an MOT on the Monster but it should sail through.
Need to get back to work as not earned for 6 weeks now but not in such a rush as to put myself at risk.

Stay safe peeps

Cleaned my bikes properly for the first time in years and used some spray lubricant on the plastic bits of both bikes with a soft cloth. Brought them up like new, and the carbon fibre cans on the monster also came up like new.
I've been using the MT03 for getting around, to shops etc. Better for the short runs than the carbie monster which takes a good 10 min run before it gets up to smooth running temp with the choke off.
I'm really looking forward to the day i can get out on the monster for a proper run.
