Hi, I may be interested in the rear shock, I have an 07 S4R with a stock Sachs unit that I need to get rebuilt as it’s practiaclly us it, I don’t suppose you know the eye to eye and stroke length of the ohlins you have?

Any pics also?

Mark

Hi Mark

If it helps, I fitted the S46HR1C1S to my S2R 1000. It was the DU333, which is actually listed as being for the S4R. The only shock that Öhlins specify for the S2R is the DU321, which is a much lower spec. version (S46DR1).

Both shocks have a length of 305mm. The DU333 has a stroke of 65mm. Assuming RCF's shock is the DU333, then it's actually designed for your bike so you'll be in luck!

Sorry guys, I was wrong with the shock number, this is DU046, with one adjuster.

Hi RCF.

Are you sure it's a DU O46? I only ask because you say it only has one adjuster, whereas the DU O46 has both compression and rebound adjustment (compression on the remote reservoir and rebound above the mounting eye).

The DU 321, on the other hand, just has the rebound adjustment.

DU046 is the same as the one I have on my S4, it's a piggyback type with the remote preload adjuster, so should fit all the later frame ie monsters. Nice bit of kit.

Thinking about it would a DU046 even fit an S*R bike? I don't think it would., well I don't think its listed as being suitable.

The DR1 and the PR1CS variants of the Ohlins S46 look quite different, so it shouldn't be too hard to identify.
A photo may be a good idea now to dispel confusion?
An S46 won't fit mine as it is only 305mm centres and suits the later tie-rod http://www.bits4motorbikes.co.uk/Ohl...ml?listID=1821

Hi RCF,

Sorry i missed your reply.

Is the shock still available?

I see you tried to upload an image, if its available can you upload it again?

My bike just..... and i mean just passed the MOT with the Sachs unit on the back, but i need to get it sorted, so if your Ohlins is still available i may be interested still.
