Insurance Claims/write off

back in June my bike was parked up in a parking bay when a lorry took out the front end. Thankfully the guy driving left his details accepted full liability and the insurance been dealing ever since.

Finally after several phone calls chasing this the engineer that inspected the bike now wants to write it off, beyond repair as they say. The odd thing is that when the engineer went to Rosso's where the bike has been since the iccendent they agreed on the repairs and i have been waiting on the confirmation.

Phone call this morning saying no worth the repairs

I know in the past people have been offer their bike back etc so can someone let me know who this works?? The bike is 98 M600 and three years ago i brought it totally stripped the bike, full reprayed and everything was new, so it means allot to me and i don't want to le the bike go.

any advise please???

My 620 was written off.
Value £2K
More than that in parts and labour to put right,
They valued remaining salvage at £500, I kept the bike and they paid me £1.5K
...make sense?

Hmmmm, they valued mine at 2200..... You need to fight to prove it's whats they sell for, not what a book says. I said to the insurance guy on my claim to go and find another M600 with less than 5k on it at any any price! There were M600's in London going for around 2 grand with 20k+ on them.
