Digging the stealth black theme
Reminds me of a 4V version of Dom's superb M900 rebuild around 2004... still currently owned by Spike AFAIK

Ohhh.. I really like it!
Have you thought about painting the yolk/triple clamp/rotors black (695 style) on the front folks as well? I did mine with rattle-cans and lots of careful masking tape work. |

Over winter - rotors and clamp black + maybe a SS arm. We shall see.
Autumn will be just a few bling bits - pazzo, motogadget etc |

Looking very nice so far.
I don't think these pics do justice to the paint though. The nicely subtle but strong grey stripe is very tasteful, and I'm sure it is more prominent in the flesh. I'd keep the forks ally coloured. But yes, black rotors (maybe that matt black metallic vht stuff viz tail-light bkt), leaving just the right (minimal) amount of little gold highlights at calipers, fork tops and chain adjusters. Shame it needs a radiator really. The 4v motor looks great when you can see it properly. Are you keeping the brutal, open pipes ? And for next winter....charcoal/gunmetal anodising on the swingarm..... Though I think I detect a weakening for a single sider......but I wouldn't. Is that a Nitron shock. I quite like the wrongness of the blue spring. |

Next year I'll tackle front end; rotors and bottom clamp. To be honest I always preferred a 916/996/998 swing arm but as we all know it's a lot of work.
Keeping the pipes but they are now charcoal black...and they still make my ears bleed! |

I really like the blackened out headlight surround, that's the final part I need to complete. Looks really nice well done!

Utopia - your right pics do not do the paint job justice at all. It's a standard shock.
Fingers crossed I have 3 days this weekend to smash it :-) |
