Only one more build to complete after this. The next one will be black framed, black wheels and pearlescent white body work and candy apple red based accents.

Yes I just looked at the detail. Very discreet. Maybe next one devils and tails. Love the black frame and pearlescent. Reminds me of my 1100s. I really wanted black wheels on that but didn't have the heart to black them.

This has taken so long because I keep changing my mind. It was supposed to just be a refresh but ended up being a 3rd engine change and upgrade.

That’s what happens when you buy a Monster, bought in 1999 and modded it ever since.

Cool

Again it has been a while since I posted any updates, I will finish it one day. We decided to split the engine just to make sure it was well lubricated as we get closer to completion.

What paint did you use on the cases and is it brush or spray?

I'm currently chugging around on a VTX1800S so not much happened to mine, but then I do live 3hrs away from it at the mo...

The grey on the engine cases is etch primer that is lacquered, the gold is spray done at a local car repair outfit.

Hi Slob! Yeah, subbed to the thread as I'll reference stuff once I get my finger out and sort mine! Need a new house with a garage then I can move it up to me and do it in dribbles. Til then, the VTX is doing a grand job. Dunno how I'll get used to an engine half the size though...
