Thank you for your generous offer - don't think I can get it turned around in that time but really appreciate the offer.

Thinking about it I could put the saving towards seeing the relatives in San Francisco!

If they're only 15 miles away it has to be at least worth calling in and checking out both the service and the prices.

My only experience with Allens Performance has been positive.
Ordered two jets yesterday over the phone at about 11.00am.
They've just arrived today at midday.
Ok, that's not much to go on but equally, I would be wary of negative forum reviews .. often it seems that those who are most likely to complain are also the least qualified to do so fairly.

Likewise, my only experience is in buying some jets: I phoned them up, they had them in stock, I went down to collect (about 20 miles), they were very helpful with advice etc.

I've not had any dealings with Allens but I know some who have and spoke highly of them. There was an interesting feature on them in last months practical sportsbike mag, they certainly look like a knowledgable and professional outfit in that. BTW its Nitron this month in PSB, another company well regarded by many on here..

Been speaking with MX Frank in Netherlands who can supply the Mikuni kit for £1015 delivered versus Allen's at £1198 collected.

Almost £200 difference even though the tax etc is the same.

Tried to buy the Mikuni's from Allen's supplier (Toppam) in Germany but unsurprisingly they would not ship to the UK which is a shame as the cost would have dropped to the £900's.

BTW I've never used them so was only going on the reviews I'd seen on the 'net

Set of 4 FCR41 here; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/keihin-fc...0AAOSwBiBauWi~

Pretty certain they're modular in that you can remove 2 from a rack of 4, although you'd need to buy some parts to make another rack of 2...

They are collection in person only from Hull

Think I'd rather go to Germany
