Other than a few minor details, SS & Monster airboxes are the same.
I've got split single FCR41s on my Monster meaning I can't use the airbox due to the angle/setup but, if it were possible I'd have kept it as I'm sure it works better that way. As for pricing, it looks like you can't get much of a deal from the EU with them being pretty much the same price (plus Brexit tax). USA probably cheaper but unless you smuggle them the import charges probably make them as expensive - I got mine from Power Barn (USA) but it was back when £1 was almost $2. Have you considered the 'replica' FCRs? IIRC Buzzer has used them on his bike builds and rates them and they are considerably cheaper than the Keihin.

Replica FCRs never heard of them ??????
I sent a message to Frank in Holland asking if he has any FCR 39 units second hand as the price is more palatable ,, at 1600 its too expensive ,, better to invest in a Fuel injection bike but probably no a ducati ???

Ebay item no. 175439591156 at £230 considerably cheaper than Keihin. I can't personally vouch for them but IIRC Buzzer has used them on a bike build?

That's Fluff Brown if I'm not mistaken. I spent a day interviewing him for a magazine article back in 1990. Nice chap as I recall. He's been in motorcycle manufacturing for a few years now, not sure he would get involve with dodgy fakes? Not sure why you'd want to fanny with non standard carbs on a 750? M750ie and 750SSie are superb motors and 5 gears are plenty. Carburettors are so yesterday..

Then the cheapest I can see is from the USA at $1300, a little over £1k but (unless you put them in your suitcase) then by the time you add on shipping + VAT + whatever other fees it'll end up around £1400 which is around the same as you can buy them for here.

I bought my Mikuni's for around £1200 from Suzuki Performance Spares in the UK who might be worth calling to see if they have any fcr's

last 6 days i have done about 700 miles on my daughters 2019 Ninja 650 betwen Cirencester , Warminster, Abingdon , Bristol etc just its not even full 68hp its still A2 restricted only 47hp ,, but its able to hit 110 mph on waze thats 116 mph on speedo and smoothly accelerate in midrange very quick yet there is another 20hp to liberate and a genuine 130mph ,, I really have to wonder if dropping £1500 on FCrs is worth it when I could buy a fuel injected bike for UK , I have new Z900 but its a bit top heavy when not moving and an S4 in thailand so i know the power 120hp + and sharper smoother response of EFI bikes but 2019 Ninja 650 is a revelation , it almost handles as well as any of my ducatis , its very light , its very comfy too ,, sounds mega the gear box is silky ...Im impressed ,,
maybe i should look at a used ducati Scrambler 800 , or a street triple , or ??? hmmm or a MV Brutale 920 ,or a GSX750 light, cheap and Suzuki quick would not spend more than £4 or 5k i wont sell the M750 Bought nice Trivango trailer today £300 virtually new but £450 less than retail so i can take one of my bike behind my Motorhome on long trips in europe etc

Due to the cost of FCRs etc I think its not worth the investment and better to get a more modern bike for general use ,, keep the M750 and 750ss for special days
if a used set came up for £600 ish I would do it but £1600 + is crazy
