Question Givi rack on 900 Monster

Hi All,

Many, many moons ago I purchased a NOS Givi fitting kit which was listed for the 900 Monster comprising of the front / rear mounting brackets and side rails. Since then I've picked up a NOS top plate, some used adjustable brackets and will combine this all with the Trekker box I kept when I sold my 1200 DVT.

Obviously there are no instructions with the kit other than a parts list so its next to useless to be fair. The rear mounts are obvious in so much as they fit under or over the frame using the beer tray bolts and the fronts simply bolt to the frame inside where the grab rails are. What I cant figure out is how to get the rear brackets to mount perfectly parallel so the you will then be able to adjust the angle of the mounting plate correctly - the only thing I can think is that they dont have to be parallel but I've no other experience of fitting a Monokey system before...

I'm at work so cant post any pics at mo

Has anyone got any ideas, or have you fitted this kit to a Monster before?

Cheers - Ben

Only going to be used for trips away maybe once per year so I'd like to get it sorted correctly. Also I wont be running it on at any other time due to the dire looks

I've positioned the brackets above the rear tray just so you can see how they fit but suspect that they mount this way but underneath, or maybe above but flipped over...

I've tried to show how they dont allow the rack rails to sit perfectly inline with the frame rails where the other L brackets fit and the only solution I can think of is to put slots in the mount holes to allow them to be moved straight.

I did email Givi but never got a response
