Hello from Lincolnshire

Hello Guys, just bought an 03 621ie Dark as a run around while my "other" bike is off the road.

I joined on 'ere to look for any Monster specific top-tips and what to look at to keep it going and to see what other owners have done to theirs. It's a nice machine with less than 2000 miles on the clock and it feels like it still needs running in and according to the manual it still needs to be.

Been biking since 1978 and ridden my Kawasaki Z1-R since 1980 and morphed it into a Harris Magnum (but it's out of action with an engine fix at the moment). Owned a 998 for a while but was made an offer i couldn't refuse so sold that on.

Well done. That looks to be a good example of the breed: very understated in black.
The only changes I’d make to the looks are some carbon cans and belt covers.... until the other ones.

Hello Howie - from a former Lincs lad. I grew up a bit further towards the coast near Mablethorpe. I had a 620ie up until last week - really liked it but wanted something with a bit more capability for faster / 2-up / out of town riding. I did the belts, the fuel filter and a few other things, they're nice and simple!

Look like CRG 'hindsight lane splitter' mirrors to me. I've got them on mine and they are surprisingly good for a small mirror and not only do they fold but they 'click' into place so always reset to the correct position, plus they fold back easily if knocked whilst remaining rock-solid & stable even at speed - best mirrors I've got on any of my bikes.

Only downside is they're quite expensive.

I had a spare but I fitted it to my daily 'exercise' bicycle so that I don't need to keep looking back.

Thanks, I looked the lane splitters up and you're both right about expensive!!
They only seem to be available from the US too?

Exactly what I'm looking for but I'll have to psyche myself up for a spend like that!
